Jira sometimes makes Google Chrome crash

When I open my pinned Jira Dashboard tab it sometimes makes my Chrome browser crash and just get stuck on loading cursor. Then the only way to resolve it is to force quit Chrome then reopen.

To me it looks like a memory leak or something like that but I don't know it's just a guess.

Would like if anybody can help me with this, Thanks!

My machine: Macbook pro 14 inch m3

OS: Sonoma 14.3.1

Chrome version: Version 122.0.6261.129 (Official Build) (arm64)

My team is also having this issue.

We just migrated to Jira cloud from jira datacenter where we didn't have this issue.

Hi @Amit and welcome to the Community!

I have used Jira for many years and never seen this happen structurally. Which does not mean your assumption may be wrong, but many factors may be at play here:

• A Jira dashboard is composed of gadgets, some may be system gadgets, other may be linked to marketplace apps or even custom development;
• Your browser;
• You network;
• ...

The logs might tell you more, but since you can't access them yourself, I would suggest reaching out to Atlassian support and raise a ticket there directly so they can investigate: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
