I upgraded Jira Core 7.13.0 to 8.5.3. Once it completed I tried to start Jira and got the classic message "Jira had problems starting up". But this time it was due to licensing for Jira Service Desk and Jira Software.
Our licenses are updated if I log into Atlassian it shows they don't need to be renewed until December of this year. They were renewed and updated on the Atlassian side before I copied our production server into a test environment to test the upgrade. Licenses should be good so I'm confused why they do not work or rather whey they aren't showing registered in Jira.
Is there something I need to do? Says Service desk and software expired last December. Even in our production instance it shows Maintenance expires Dec 2019. Is there a manual method to updating licenses once renewed within Jira to have it reflect that the licenses we have are actually legit?
Thank you!
I think I may have figured it out. I have to re-input the license key in order for it to register properly. I was nervous if I did that it would trigger something on our account that we are now running 8.5.3 when I am just running the newer version in test and not our actual production instance. This hopefully doesn't affect anything ( don't think it will?).
