Hello,
we have defined a custom field using the add-on LabelManager and used this field in structure in a group automation.
After we have added Round Brackets , e.g. "Validate(Drive)" the structure doesn't refresh the group labels. Also removing the round brackets to "Validate" doesn't reactivate the refreshing.
In the Jira issue the custom field value is shown correctly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Hello @Jens Walther !
Glad that you were able to find a workaround. Hopefully I can help clarify what you were seeing.
After data has been loaded to a structure by a generator, it is cached. The structure then listens for events to stay up to date while also not constantly trying to reload, which would put stress on performance. These events are the type of things you see in the History tab of an issue.
Changing the name of a field, or the name of a value within a pick list, does not create the type of event Structure is listening for, so the structure does not refresh.
After some time, the cache will clear on its own. One way to clear the cache manually is to do as you did, removing the generator and re-adding it.
The other would be to use the clear cache option. You can find this in the bottom right corner of the structure after clicking on the Info icon.
Hope this helps!
Best,
David

Shortly, after I posted the question, I found the work around:
1. Remove the automation for grouping of the managed label
2. Add the automation again
--> Issue resolved, but I guess it's a bug in Structure....

No structure bug, but a missing event in Jira. See https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Re-LabelManager-values-with-Round-Brackets-seem-to-be-an/qaq-p/2181363/comment-id/230885#M230885
