Lock a jira issue during edit

Is there a way one can lock a jira issue when editing, to prevent another user from editing this at the same time?

By default jira issue lock feature is not possible in Jira and please is atlassian suggestion ticket for your reference. Please add yourself to watcher or vote to get further updates on it.

Additionally , with the help of Issue Lock for Jira app you will be able to get the issue lock feature.
