Mantis external import - attachments not imported

Yvan Zeebroek June 6, 2018

I need to proof to my manager that Jira is better than Mantis, therefore I'm trying to import the Mantis bt into JIRA.

Although mentioned that they are imported, the attachments are not imported. When trying to open an attachment, the error is:

Ouch! We can't load the image.

/secure/attachment/13191/MANTIS_7660.PNG

The folder $JIRA_HOME/import/attachments is empty.

The folder $JIRA_HOME/data/atttachments contains info.

This is a trivial thing to decide if we migrate to Jira or not.

Thanks for helping me with this.

Hi Yvan

The attachments should be extracted from the Mantis database and saved the default attachments path which is the $JIRA_HOME/data/atttachments.

It looks like that something has prevented the attachment to be extracted from the Mantis database. I'd recommend checking the import log for errors ($JIRA_HOME/log/atlassian-jira.log).

In addition to that, is it failing for all Mantis attachments or some of them were imported correctly to JIRA?

Cheers
