Merge two Instances including apps

Hi Guys!

I want to merge two instances in one. I've seen the power of configuration manager, but what about apps? Is there any option even to migrate apps and their data to another Server Instance?

Hi @Hannes ,

Some apps are supported by configuration manager, but not many yet.

For other apps, it depends on what kind of data needs to be moved. If they save data in custom fields, it should work. If not, you might need to find a way to move that data manually.

one Instance is using Big Picture and the other Insight/Asset. In my understanding it's a problem to migration one of this apps to the other instance. Is this correct? Do you have any suggestion for this?

Hi Hannes,

According to this, insight should be supported by Configuration Manager, so if possible let I would try move that instance.

And I strongly suggest to set up a test instance to try the migration if you don't already have one.
