Microsoft Teams App w/ New Teams Client

Has anyone been able to get the Jira Cloud for Microsoft Teams (Official) app to work with the New Microsoft Teams Client?

I was able to get the app working using the old client andthen switch to the new client.

I approved the app in azure for the organizatoin and then users were able to launch it in the new teams.
