Migrate Jira from OnDemand to new OnDemand

Steve Hendricks August 21, 2014

We would like to migrate Jira tickets from one OnDemand account to another account. The new account will have a different workflow, statuses, etc.

If this is done via export-import of an XML file, can we edit XML file manually if needed to accomplish this?

What happens to user references, etc.?

If you need to keep data in old jira - https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/ONDEMANDKB/How+to+Merge+Two+JIRA+OnDemand+Instances please see the tutorial. You need to use intermediate standalone jira to solve all the conflicts of merge - and then migrate the result to target ondemand.
