Hello,
I love the migration to Cloud Wizard. It's fantastic for a Jira admin like me.
My question is: I have a project with lots of old issues (30K+), and I don't want to move it. I want to limit the migration to a date range. For example, how would I migrate only 2020 and new issues? Is there a way to pick newer issues and not migrate older issues?
I guess I can migrate everything and then delete it after. That's one way. I'm hoping there's a better way.
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Hao
Hi @Hao Doan
There is no option in the migration wizard for this.
Other option you would have is to export all issues you want to migrate and use CSV import to get them into the Cloud project.
But this will need to be outlined correctly based on comments and attachments as the formatting needs to be checked extensively before importing and attachments need to be imported separate.
So using the wizard and delete is the most simple option
As @Marc - Devoteam explains, JCMA does not let you do this. It migrates data per project. You can choose to migrate everything and then delete, or delete the old issues or bulk move them into a different project that you don't migrate before you migrate.
