×Hi All,
I want to migrate data from one JIRA cloud instance to another.
Organization A hosting the cloud application is shutting down and need to migrate the data to another organization B cloud instance. How are the below scenarios handled?
1. Possible approaches to migrate configuration and data (issues) considering Org B cloud instance might be empty or already contains data which needs to be merged with Org A data.
2. Does the migration include migrating third-party vendor data?
3. If Org B has different list of users, how will be Org A users handled? Does the history and user field of existing issues still retain the user information?
Thanks
Akshatha
Hi @Akshatha
Some good starting points can be found via these links if Org B is new:
^ If you have third party apps, you'll need to view each vendor's documentation to see if you can back-up and restore their apps between Cloud instances.
If Org B is not new, and both instances have issues and users, consider viewing these links:
These should give you some ideas to get you started :)
