Mirroring tickets from Service Desk to Sprint Board

Davide Orbitello February 19, 2024

Hello,

I will give a bit of context here since it is needed to explain what I'm trying to achieve

I am the admin of the IT service desk project in my company, but I'm also part of the DevOps board where we are running a sprint. In the latter board, I would like to clone or create issues as child issues in a story called "Tickets from Service Desk" every ticket that is created in the ServiceDesk board.

Is this achievable somehow?

Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Boards are not containers for issues, they are a view of a selection of issues.

If your Devops board is a Jira Software board, then you can edit the filter behind it, which means you can draw in issues from any project you want.  I regularly run into places where they want to draw in issues from one or two issues, and then the odd ad-hoc issue that could be anywhere in Jira, so they have board filters like "Project in (ABC, DEF) or

This will cause your users some problems though - only Agents can work with issues, so your DevOps team won't be able to progress the issues across the board unless you make them agents as well as developers.

Hey, thanks for your reply.

The thing is that I don't need a container for issues but for a way to report closed tickets to the sprint board as part of a way to show what happened on the it service desk project.
