We are getting ready to migrate to Jira Cloud. With this, we will be migrating over everything from our current Jira instance. However, I am curious if we can make projects read only once they are migrated?
We are restructuring how our Jira instance is set up and will be using few projects. The idea is to have the other projects we are not using to be Read Only. We want the historical data there, but do not want the developers to accidentally use the other projects.
In that same vain, if we do make these projects Read Only, could we still move a task from that project into one of the projects we will be working on?
Hi @Jason Chayer,
As long as you have create issues permission in the project you want to move issues into, yes, sure. You may need move issues permission on the read only project too, I would assume.
Hope this helps!
@Walter Buggenhout - it does help, thank you.
I will ensure I have those permissions granted once we migrate.
