Need our JIRA datacenter server internet connection for setting the Server ID for new licence-key?

Hello   

I got a new Lizenz in my atlassian account for Jira Software 8.20.14 and 3 addons.

Next Step: I do was - to "Update Server ID

To view your license key, the Server ID of your Jira Software (Data Center) instance needs to be associated with this license. Please enter the Server ID below - you will only need to do this once"

But  - when I put the Server ID into the Atlassian Mask  -  I got this error:
"Invalid Server ID - Please try copying and pasting the Server ID directly from the product."

This error is very rarely.
And I think the Server ID is right. I Have this Format:

xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

I suspect - Does the JIRA server have to be connected to the Internet when we try to send the server ID?

Hi @Kay Multhaupt , 

I can confirm that there is no need for the server to be connected to internet to use its Server ID for a new license.

What you might have is an invalid Server ID on your Jira instance, it happens in some cases (see this bug for example : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-66787 )
