Recently I added a new user to our JIRA / Bitbucket pool, however at the moment of creating the user his email address didn't exist just yet. After creating his email, a few weeks later, the invite and confirmation email don't reach his inbox / spam folder.
could it be that, because the email didn't exist at the time of creating the user yet, the email address has been blocked by the SMTP server of Atlassian?
@Roland Andriese Looks like the user might be added to the bounce list, please raise a case with Jira Support Team and we would be happy to assist you.
Follow the link to raise the ticket: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
Please do accept the response and like the comment if it helped you :)
I had to upgrade my account in order to create a support ticket, but that has been done and now we wait :-)
thanks

Have you tried removing the user and adding it back in? That should fix the issue I believe.
