Not getting updated linked issue type using /rest/api/2/ JQL

Avinash Natekar November 13, 2024 edited

I have one issue type "Xray Test" linked to a story with summary as 'Old Summary' which I updated later to BUG type and updated summary to 'New Summary'

When I retrieve using the mentioned API, I get inward linked issue and issue type of that is still coming as "Xray Test" and 'Old summary' instead of 'Bug' and 'New Summary' what is the problem here in the API.

PS - the issue was due to refresh error in power bi.. the issue is solved. Sorry for the confusion.

Hi @Avinash Natekar

Which API are you using? Jira API or Xray API

What is your exact API call?

Can you share screenshots?

I also am confused, about you description, As I understand it.

Issue Type Xray Test has a linked Issue Type Story with a Summary "Old Summary", you have moved the Issue Type of the Story to Bug and the Summary from "Old Summary" to New Summary, correct?

Then you are referring to the API mentioning only issue type Xray Test and Old Summary instead of Bug and New Summary, I thought the issue type Xray Test had a link to an issue and now you are mentioning the Xray Test should be of type BUG???

Thanks Marc for replying... I was using JIRA API and the way I was refreshing the query in power bi was not successful and hence the issue was happening its resolved so can be marked closed.
