Not receiving email notifications when the request is assigned

Hi Team,

We have a group of 5members in JIRA and during assignment of tickets only one member is getting emails out of 5 in a group.

I checked his permissions and the member is getting mails the same level of access the other members also having same permissions but few are missing the mail notifications even though all the group members are having same permissions.

All the users are having browse project permission.

Any idea on this?

Hi Kanaka,

Maybe the users have their profile or personal settings configured differently. Do they get emails when they are assigned on other projects?

Hi @John Funk ,

User has been created recently that too service user (Testuser) for automation purpose we have created this user and the user is not getting emails.

Remaining members were normal users not test users.

Do they get emails when they are assigned on other projects?<<<<<<<< I will get back to you on the above query.

So this is a test user? And you are using a valid email address that you have access to? Does that use receive any other emails?

To clarify, you have 5 members, during a period of assignment within a team of 5, only 1 out of 5 users is getting an Assigned email notification even though all users have at least 1 issue/request assigned to each of them. Is that correct?   

Has the notification scheme been customised at all? 

All 5 members have the same project role within the project? 

What server version at you on?

Are you able to check your Jira server's outgoing mail logs to see if email notifications were triggered?

Has the notification scheme been customised at all? <<<<<<<<< No it's a customized one and in the notification issue updated or created events notification is enabled.

 

All 5 members have the same project role within the project? <<<<<<< Yes

 

What server version at you on?<<<<<<< 8.13.2

 

Are you able to check your Jira server's outgoing mail logs to see if email notifications were triggered? <<<<<<<< Not found any evidences.

Sorry Jira version is 8.20.1
