I am a new employee at a company using Jira software and Confluence. I have created a JIRA account with my new email, but I cannot get access to my company's projects without verifying my email with Atlassian. However, I am not receiving the verification emails.
I believe that our Admin attempted to invite my email account before the email mailbox was created. Now that the email mailbox is created, I can receive emails, but the verification emails are not being received.
I have checked all inboxes, including Spam folders, but there is nothing coming through. I have also tried sending via an incognito browser session.
Based on research, I have found related Atlassian issues which had to be manually solved by Atlassian unblocking email mailboxes. See: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Not-receiving-verification-email-for-new-account/qaq-p/1767812
Issue was solved by my group Admin entirely removing my profile from the JIRA workspace, then re-adding me.
After I was re-added, I did not need to accept any verification email.
So the email verification issue could still exist, but is no longer blocking me.

Hi Alan,
I found there was a bounce message sent to your address. The SMTP mail server responded with:
550-5.1.1 The email account that you tried to reach does not exist. Please try 550-5.1.1 double-checking the recipient's email address for typos or 550-5.1.1 unnecessary spaces. I have cleared the suppression from our side. You should now be able to receive invites and notifications to that address from our Cloud services.
Andy
