Notification Release approved

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for a solution to send a notification via email/teams, if the release is approved.
So far I couldn't find an automation that sends out a notification for this case.

JIRA Cloud -> Release -> opening a Release -> if Approver approves Release then send notification

Hi @Melanie Röver and welcome!

I'm afraid this is currently not possible, neither with automation nor with webhooks. The "Version updated" trigger does not fire for changes in the approvers panel.

There is an existing request in Atlassian's Jira touching on this topic, maybe you can add a comment there or create an entirely new request.
