I am enabling the subtasks and I would like it to be open only in 4 states of the 10 I have in the workflow. Is it possible to do this in Jira?
For example.
Workflow:
Open-Assigned-In Progress-Done
That only the subtasks are enabled in the status "Assigned"
Thank you for any help you can offer me!!
Thanks,
Hello @jcpardo
Each type of issue can have a workflow that is used for only that type of issue. You can create exactly the workflow that you want for the subtask issue type and use that new workflow for only the subtask issue type.
If you are working with a Company Managed project, look at this article for more information about creating a workflow.

Hi trudy
Thanks for the reply.
Everything you tell me I understand. I need to explain more about what I need.
For example. I already have 2 workflows, 1 for incident and another for subtasks.
Workflow issue type incident: Open-Assigned-In Progress-Done
Is it possible for a rule that can only open subtasks in x status? Assigned
This is the doubt I have.
Thanks and regards!

Hello @jcpardo
I do not understand your question.
Can you provide more details for this scenario?
If you want subtasks to go to the Assigned status as soon as you create them, you can do that by modifying the workflow associated with the subtask issue type.
