I am able to edit other's comments in the Jira ticket? Is it a bug?

Hello Siddhant,

In Jira, the ability to edit comments depends on the permissions set by the project administrators. There are two specific permissions related to comments:

  1. Edit Own Comments: Allows users to edit their own comments.
  2. Edit All Comments: Allows users to edit any comment, including those made by others.

It seems you currently have the "Edit All Comments" permission, which is why you're able to edit others' comments. If this is unexpected or appears to be a bug, I recommend reaching out to your Jira administrator to review the permissions configuration for your project.

For more details on managing project permissions, you can refer to the following documentation: Managing Project Permissions.

If you need further assistance, feel free to ask!

Best regards
