Trying this and it seems to not be working as I had hoped. Perhaps there is a setting I am missing.
Have a parent object type with multiple children object types due to access control reasons. Inheritance and Abstract settings are turned on for the parents
In the trying to make an attribute object reference that points to the parent object type and pulls in the data from the children objects. When I go to add a value in the attribute, it is not bringing up the existing object and instead is saying "new object".
Is what I am after possible?
Found it - "Include children" needs to be selected on the general tab for the configure screen of the attribute with the referenced object in question
Thank you for this, I've been looking all over for a solution to this same issue.
