I have initiatives as top level in my hierarchy, and the initiatives are linked to epics via the 'Is Initiative of' link type on the initiative. However, Plans does not display the epics in a hierarchical view in my plan. How can I get epics to display as nested under the linked initiative?
If you have verified that Initiatives are showing at the top of your Work type hierarchy, the next step would be to use the 'Parent' field to create the parent-to-child relationship between Initiatives and Epics. The link you described does just that, create a link, but doesn't create a hierarchical relationship. Make sure the Parent field is present on your Epic screen(s). Hope that makes sense!

Hi, Can you check if the PARENT field of the EPIC is populated with INITIATIVE KEY?
If so, can you share some screenshot of your config?

Hey @JoEllen Carter You also need to ensure that you've created a hierarchical relationship between the initiative and epic issue type, not just a link between those issues - sorry if you've already done that and it's still not working.
Here's some step by step guidance:

Hope that solves it - if not let us know, I'm sure this would be useful for others to know too.

i figured it out. I needed to add the initiative in the Parent field, even though I already related initiatives and epics using the 'has Initiative' issue link.
