Hi @Jerrold - Empyra

Really appreciate your reply with a detailed step guide.

My problem is with the view because whatever you can see on the Jira board I can not see. The features are different on my Kanban board. So it's very confusing to move Kanban board to the scrum board.

I don't know why it is different for the same type of users. I'm also my project admin but I can not see functions that are showing on your kanban board.

Please check my board view in the below image. There is no button to click on the project name on the left side so cannot create a new board here. Screenshot 2024-05-20 122458.png

When I click on configure board, features are again different from your board. Please check the below image. So I'm not able to follow the steps forwarded by you as I can't see those features here.

I am unable to follow your steps to move my Kanban board to the scrum board, can you please help?

Hi @Akansha Mishra

As i mentioned in my first post only if you are using Company managed project only you need to create the new board. As seen in the screen shot it is team managed project in team managed project you just need to navigate to the project settings > features > enable the backlog  and the sprints now your Kanban board will be scrum board

Thank you.

Hi @Akansha Mishra

If you are using company managed project

Each Board has Board filters based on the board filters only we will see the data in the boards so if you want to switch to a scrum board you can use the same board filter what you have given to the Kanban board to the scrum board so the same data will be in the scrum board too. After creating the scrum board with the same filter we need to cross check the columns and status in the scrum board to make sure its same as it is in the Kanban.

Thank you.

Hi @Akansha Mishra

Yes sure, So a project can have Multiple boards now you have a Kanban board in your project and we will create a another board in your project which is a scrum board with same Kanban board saved filter.

1. -This the board and in the left side you can see the Board name and its Kanban               board with 5 issues

-In the right side navigate to the … > Configure Board

Screenshot (1623).png

2. - Under the General topic you can see the Board filter.

Screenshot (1624).png

3.- Scroll down a little bit and you can see the saved filter which is in the select filter field so that is your Kanban board saved filter

Example : Kanban board saved filter name - Filter for BOAR board.

The scrum board doesn't not have a sub filter option so we cant bring that to the scrum board. we can either added it to the saved filter or create it as a quick filter and use it or if not need we can ignore it  .

Screenshot (1625).png

4. - Come back to the board after knowing the Kanban board saved filter name

-In the left side you can see … beside the board name if you select it you can see          the boards in the project and other boards and in the bottom you can see the              create board option.

Screenshot (1627).png

5. -Once you click the create board option this screen will come and select the Create a scrum board option

Screenshot (1628).png

6. - After selecting the create board option select the Boards from an existing Saved filter so that we can use the Kanban saved filter to this board also

Screenshot (1629).png

7. - Give the board a name

-Under the saved filter option dropdown you should be able to see the Kanban              saved filter ex: Filter for BOAR board select it.

Screenshot (1630).png

8 - Check once all the fields are right the saved filter and the location by default the location of the board will be the same project only. and select on create board

Screenshot (1631).png

9 - Now you can see the scrum board with the same issues in the Kanban board

Screenshot (1632).png

10 - now in the right side under the Boards you can see two boards in this project one is Kanban and another one is scrum

Screenshot (1633).png

The Kanban board can be deleted if not needed. only the board will be deleted all the data and the filter will not be deleted But before that Please check Twice or thrice if everything is same from that board and you may have to check the columns and status whether they are mapped properly  and if you had any quick filters or swim lanes or any other configurations you have done to that board through the board settings that needs to be re-created manually in the scrum board

Thank you.
