Project access Privat

Dejf November 16, 2024 edited

Hi,

some docs pages states that setting a team managed Jira project to Private Access is not available in the free plan.

Nevertheless I managed to create one. Not sure how this was possible but now when trying to create again an access restricted "Private" project, it is not possible anymore.

Here the screenshot of the "Private" one in the free plan

Can it be that "one" (1) project can be be made "Private" but not a second one?

And indeed, I created a new Jira Account and for the first Jira Project I see the option:

Thanks and regards

Dejf

Hello @Dejf

The only time the Team Managed project Access setting can be changed is if you are using a paid subscription or using a trial of a paid subscription.

If you had upgraded your Free instance to a Trial of the Standard plan, you would've been able to change the setting then. And the setting would be retained when you reverted back to the Free plan.

If you need to change it again, you will need to upgrade to a Trial of the Standard subscription, then change the Access setting, then revert back to the Free plan.
