REST API or JQL for deleted Issue Type "Test" IN JIRA

Neha Dua November 10, 2020

Hi ,

I tried many links but unable to find any help on this.

Is there way by creating any JQL or any API is there which can allow us to fetch deleted issues in JIRA.

We need to check which issue Type "Test" are deleted ?

Thanks Much !

No.

Delete means delete - the item has been removed from the database.  You can't search for what is no longer there, there's nothing to search for.

There is a record though - when you started the delete process, Jira would have checked to see if there were any issues of that type anywhere, and asked you what you wanted to change them to.

That change is recorded in the issues' histories.  There's no direct search for it though.

Hi @Neha Dua

Because there is no "undelete" or viewing of deleted issues in the cloud version, some teams disable the delete permission, and instead add a custom field to mark issues as "abandoned".  In that way, you can remove abandoned issues from filters/boards/reports and still find them when needed.

Best regards,

Bill
