AD integrated group not populating in jira

simply put , our ad group member list is not updating in jira,  we manually synchronized ,  performed test (all green),  this seemed to work at one time as the original group members from AD in there but when we add folks they are not updating when you look at the jira group

as an update.  so it turns out the user eventually gets populated in the proper jira permission group from our read only AD Directory.  it took about 36 hours after various syncs and logout/login trials.  It there a log that specifically tracks AD syncs to find out what is happening?

Can you check whether only when the user (logs out and ) logins into the JIRA, the new AD group changes made to that user account is synced in JIRA?

So the user belongs AD group jira-administrators in the AD server.  In the jira. under Groups, jira-administators , the user does not show up when you click View Users.  The user had logged out and into jira repeatedly to troubleshoot so far , same behavior. , no in the jira-administrators.  Further troubleshoot data, when I create a new AD group, lets call it jira-project-managers and place this account in there as a member , the jura-project-managers group appears in electable groups in side jira. but if you View those members too, that has no members listed.
