Any way to speed up GitHub Triggers?

Have recently set up GitHub triggers to transition issues in the workflow. It takes between 25 min to an hour after the GitHub event is created for the trigger to fire in JIRA and transition the issue to its new state. Is there a setting to speed this up?

From your description, it sounds like the delay might related to the following issue:

You could try the workaround.

Thanks Jason will try it- though the workaround looks to be valid only for pre-Jan 2014 customers, and our instance was provisioned after that date.
