Auto-logout when browser closed

Deleted user October 19, 2017

When I close my browser, especially when using a shared computer (in a conference room), I'd like to be automatically logged out of JIRA, without explicitly clicking the logout button.

Most sites work this way, requiring you to log in again after restarting the browser (e.g., amazon.com)

Why doesn't JIRA work this way by default?  Is there an option?  Thanks.

Hi Andrew,

The best way to accomplish this is to use the browser's privacy mode. In Chrome you can "Open a New Incognito Window", in Firefox it is called New Private Window.

Using these options will automatically log you out once you exit the browser.

Best regards,
Brian
