You can actually install the applications together. So if you have already installed JIRA Software, for example, you can just navigate to your Applications page and upload JIRA Service Desk from https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/service-desk/update - just make sure to choose the Already have JIRA Software or JIRA Core? option.
