Clone child work item within an Epic?
Hi @Armelia McCord and welcome to the community!
Cloning child work items within an Epic can be efficiently managed using our app Deep Clone for Jira. Deep Clone is specifically designed for such scenarios, offering a dedicated Epic/Tree Clone feature. This functionality enables you to easily clone an entire Epic, including its child issues and maintaining the original hierarchical structure.
With Deep Clone for Jira, you can:
There is no built-in feature in Jira to directly clone a child work item within an Epic. However, you can achieve this by navigating to the Issue Navigator and using the JQL query: parentEpic = <epic-key>. From there, you can clone any of the child work items by clicking the three-dot menu next to the issue.
If this isn’t what you were asking, I agree with @John Funk . It would be helpful to provide more details in your question.
