Hi there, I have a user that is not seeing their comments in tickets. They are the Project Lead AND Project Admin. They have permission to create, edit own and delete own comments. I added a comment to the ticket in question and he can still not see his nor my comments. I confirmed they are logged in, not just lurking. Any ideas??
To view comment you must have a browse project permission. To add comments to an issue, i.e. to see the Comment button, you must have both of the following permissions for the issue's relevant project:
What you can try:
- Try use Permission Helper to discover why a user does or does not have certain permissions...
(click on Permission Helper link on the upper right side of the Issue Permision schema)
- Try to add the user directly to permission scheme,
He already has all those permissions and more in place and its still not working. I did the Permission helper and its all green check marks. I'll just open a ticket with Atlassian.

Plot twist, he can see the comments in the preview pane but not if he opens the ticket to full view/screen.
