Hi folks, first question on here since joining.
I've read some other threads where Commitment is described as the number of story points at the point a sprint is started.
However when looking at the Burndown Chart for my completed sprints, the number of story points is always different - and always less - than the Commitment figure when I look at the corresponding Velocity Report.
Could someone explain how this occurs?
Many thanks in advance for any help and replies.
Kev
Hello Kevin,
With VisualScript for Jira, you can use a report like the one attached here that lives in a Jira dashboard gadget. It can show metrics of all of the changes during a sprint. This particular report includes added, dropped, rolled, committed, and delivered story points/issues. The expanded view will break each metric down by team sprint by sprint. It is customizable as well, and can be configured to present the data as needed in many different types of representations.
FYI I work on the VisualScript product team as the Senior Solutions Engineer.

Hi Evan.
Thanks for this but the instance of JIRA I use is locked down by the company I work for so add-ons such as the one you've highlighted are out of scope for me.
Plus, unless I'm missing something, it does't really answer my question of how data on JIRA seems to be different depending on which report you look at...
Thanks
Kev
