Hi, I'm building a dashboard using the "Filter Results" gadget, filtering by issue type=subtask + user (Reporter or Assignee), and configuring it with the fields of interest (Parent, Summary, Time Spent). I manage to visualize this way the subtasks assigned to that person and how much time they have loaded in the Time Spent field. I would also like to have a total of loaded time per user, is it possible?
Is there a more efficient way to have a dashboard of this type? Currently, users only load their time in the subtasks they create in each issue.
Thank you!
Hi @chernandez,
Unfortunately it is not possible to add this info in the Filter results gadget or in a different Jira native gadget.
As a solution, you could search for a plugin on Atlassian Marketplace that offers such gadget.
In case you want to try a plugin, our Great Gadgets app offers a Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget that could be useful for this use case. It can display the sum of Time spent for the subtasks grouped by reporter. The result can be in form of table, heatmap table or charts of various types.
Also, you can split by many other fields, as in this example:
Danut.
Hi, @
Welcome to the community!
The "Filter Results" gadget unfortunately does not provide this total, it only shows the information per issue, like the screenshot you sent. I work at Mindpro and, if you are open to exploring a marketplace solution, I recommend Mindpro Insights.
The app allows you to create dashboards (internal and Jira-standard) with custom gadgets to reach this objective.
For example, you could add a "Custom Table Gadget" and configure the data and aggregation to display the time spent per user with totals:
This would be the result:
You can also select other chart types, such as pie, bar, line, etc. There are over 50+ gadgets to choose from.
I hope that helps.
Regards,
Eduardo

Hi,
For detailed worklog reporting if you would be interested in an alternate mktplace app, you may want to try out our add-on.

-> Dashboard gadget
(Disclaimer: I work for RVS, the vendor for this app)

Hi @chernandez ,
I am Ewa and I represent SolDevelo. In case if you are still looking for a solution, I would like you to recommend our app Worklogs - Time Tracking and Time Reports, lite Time Tracker.
Worklogs reports can be created in app or as a Jira dashboard gadget. You can group data in three columns and use filtering by projects, JQL filters, Sprints or Users on top of it.
As an example you can create the report which you have described with Users, Issues and its subtasks. This way, even if the User isn't assigned to an issue but worked on it, you will still get the result in your report.
With Worklogs, you can create as many reports as you like. We are using both Jira time logs and Jira issue fields (including custom ones) to create reports. So, there are lost of possibilities to analise how much time on which tasks have you spent.
For example, you can create report to view the time spent on specific priorities and issue types.
I hope this helps! :)
Best regards,
Ewa

Hello @chernandez,
A third option would be Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards, another Marketplace app (I am the product manager of this app).
With Quick Filters you can also sum up any Jira number field, including time spent. The "Quick Issue Statistics" gadget or "Quick Two Dimensional Filter Statistics" gadget would be suitable for that.
You can check out Quick Filters for Jira Dashboards without installation on our demo dashboards.
