I'm currently using Jira Work Management and am looking to create capacity planning reports, similar to what is available in Asana. Could anyone guide me on how to generate these reports in Jira Work Management? Are there any specific features or add-ons that I need to use, or is there a native way to achieve this within Jira? Any tips or best practices would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Naman,
As far as I know, Jira Work Management doesn’t have native capacity planning features.
If you consider add-ons, I can suggest our app - ActivityTimeline.
With ActivityTimeline, you can easily visualize your team’s capacity and resource utilization. Here’s a quick look at one of our Resource Utilization reports:
This report provides a clear view of how your resources are allocated across projects and where you might have capacity available or over-allocated.
If you’d like more details or a personalized demo, feel free to reach out!
Best regards,
Svitlana, ActivityTimeline team
Hello @Naman Mandli
That type of reporting is not available natively in Jira within the Jira Work Management project types directly.
Have you reviewed the capacity report capabilities available in the Plans feature?
Your post tags indicate you are using a Premium subscription, so that feature may be available to you.
Otherwise are you willing to consider adding a third party app to your Jira instance to achieve your requirement?
