Is it possible to create a required elements connect field in the customer portal screen?
I have tried to make it required with its corresponding field but it does not work. Maybe some workaround?
Thx!
In the Cloud, what you can do is create an Elements Connect connected item with a mirror field (this will send the template value(s) inside a custom field). Then you can configure this custom field to be required on your JSM form from the Jira admin.
I hope this helps. If you have any further questions, feel free to book a 30-min call in my calendar or attend our AMA (Ask me Anything) event on May 24th.
I tried it, but not do the field required and I can transition with the field empty

Sorry it'll not work as the connected item needs to be saved with a value first in order for this value to be available in the custom field.

That's a great question and use case you should submit for the AMA (Ask me anything) we are hosting with the Elements Connect Product Managers May 24th. We just switched from Elements Connect to Insight and this was one of the reasons. Elements Connect on cloud (and similar 3rd party apps) is simply designed as a UI search that stores the lookup result in a "mirror field". So, it's like trying to set a requirement that the user performs a search which isn't possible.
It's some overhead to get integrations established, but leveraging Insight can give you a lot more power than a 3rd party app (at least on cloud).
