in Jira/greenhopper/Agile it is possible to define epics. So far so good, but if i try to create a new issue within an epic (with the issue type "epic") it won't be shown as an epic inside the epic. So what can i do?

I've not heard of a "Sub Epic" before. A sub of an Epic is a Story.

I am also trying to get an response on similar lines....

Need an issue which pulls together few epics kind of larger epic or feature which will help me see % complete on a high level view.
