I have been looking at creating plans in Jira for our development teams on the basis of giving us a solid holistic view of epics in progress and capacity etc.
I have configured two plans and on one of the plans for some reason it keeps showing as unassigned (see below).
I cant work out why these (total of around 5 epics appear in this section, they are assigned to a team and on most I am assigned to them as Assignee but yet they still appear in this section.
Also have tried changing the plan to look at a project or the teams board but still they appear there.
Any assistance greatly appreciated.
Hi @James Doyle
You probably already found the solution, but then this might help others having the same issue:
Solution can be found in this article: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Advanced-planning-questions/Unassigned-in-Advanced-Roadmap/qaq-p/1857975
Once all child issues under an epic have been assigned to a team, the epic disappears from the Unassigned section.
Hope this helps.

Hi @James Doyle
I think the unassigned means unassigned to a specific user, but not a team. If you assign it to a user, it should disappear from Unassigned group.
Thanks,
