Estimating Issues in the Kanban Backlog

Hi,

One of the things i would like to do in the Kanban Backlog is to estimate issues in time units (in a similar way to what can be done on the Scrum backlog) as this is something i use as part of how i prioritize my work.

Unfortunately i dont see any way i can add the time tracking fields to the Issue detail view,

Someone has any Ideas how i can achieve that?

Thank You :)

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

The thing is that the screens include these fields and if you go to the edit screen the fields are there but the the issue detail view you dont see the time tracking fields!

And in the Kanban Board config. the estimation tab is not there..

Hello,

If you want to add time tracking fields to the detail issue view, then you should find the screens, which are used for this issue type as a view, edit and create screens and add the Time tracking field there.

Also you can add these fields for the Kanban board. Go to board -> Configure -> Estimation. Set the Time Tracking option to Remaining Estimate and Time spent. In the Estimate statistic optionnchoose Original Estimate.

Time tracking fields will be visible on the view issue screen only if they have a value. That is right, there is not Estimation for a Kanban board.
