How can I see Theme>Initiative>Epic>Story hierarchy in scrum board in jira project

I want to see Theme>Initiative>Epic>Story hierarchy in scrum board just like in Portfolio.

In my understand Epics don't show up in backlog. Just wondering is there a way I can see Theme>Initiative>Epic>Story hierarchy in scrum board? Thanks!

Hello Henry,

Portfolio and the agile Board are intended for similar but separate use cases, and the Hierarchy view as seen in portfolio does not cross over into the Boards at this time.

Portfolio is intended to show the Hierarchy layout on a wide view for a timeline layout on forecasting and planing and the higher hierarchy levels are specific to the portfolio view, and the Board is laid out to show the narrower more immediate view for current sprint planning and immediate work at the Epic level down.

You can get some of the Hierarchy layout to the Epic Level on your Active Sprint view by setting the swim lanes to the Epic level to show the stories and sub-tasks nested in the epic, but this will not include the higher initiative levels. 

We have the following Feature Requests to add in these higher Hierarchy levels to the Board views, please make sure to add in your vote:

• For Jira Cloud
• For Jira Server
