×I'm working on a project that involves going through the same six tasks, each with its own subtasks. I'm rolling out displays in ten different clinics, and I need to complete these six tasks for each clinic. How can I streamline this process to use the same tasks while working on another clinic?
Hi @Marcia Cuenca ,
You can use Automation for Jira to meet these needs, though such automation rules can be overwhelming and difficult to update.
As an alternative, you can create issue templates with Epic, Tasks, and Sub-tasks using the Smart Templates app, allowing you to easily recreate issues whenever needed.
You can also template issue fields like summary, description, labels, etc. For dynamic values such as clinic name or responsible team members, you can use variables to make the process more flexible.
Feel free to ask any questions or book a demo call if you'd like to explore this further!
Best regards,
Oleksandra
Hello @Marcia Cuenca
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
If the work needs to be tracked separately for each clinic then the tasks and subtasks will need to be replicated for each clinic.
Does each clinic get an Epic?
You could use an Automation Rules to copy a "template set of tasks and subtasks for each Epic. Alternately with various third party apps there is additional functionality to clone issues.

Hi @Marcia Cuenca ,
if you don't want to set up an automation, it would be worth taking a look at the Atlassian Marketplace, since there are several apps which offer Issue Templates.
I'm the Product Manager of Templating.app and the app covers exactly what you've asked for. You can create Issue Templates including Epics, Tasks, Subtasks and any other Issue Types.
Here's a Loom video of how it works.
Templating.app is based on Atlassian Forge, which means that your data is solely stored within the Atlassian infrastructure. We do not host any of your data.
Let me know if you have any questions. We can even schedule a call to talk about your requirements via seibert.biz/meetsarah .
Cheers,
Sarah
