Hello,

My users want to know the status of an issue.  They know the issue name and number, for example issue SUPPORT-51

They want to get the status

for example by typing

lookup support-51

and then they will get a slack bot response with the issue name and owner and status

Hey Alex!

If the slack bot is in the channel, then typing SUPPORT-51 in any message will get the bot to respond with more information about the ticket.

Also, you can type `/jira SUPPORT-51`you can look up a ticket that way.

Hope this helps!

Thank you Trevor! It’s a start

So so there is a name and a slug. Assuming your talking about the slug (SUP-56), I can get it to work by calling the bot.

In this case is the bot response just visible to me!

But this doesn’t have all the benefits I’m looking for (other people will see how I called the bot and will know how to copy me)

The other way - just saying the issue name (slug-number) in the channel doesn’t appear to work. Is there a setting I need to toggle?
