I have the Risk Score field in team jira Kanban board but when we give it a score it returns to zero when u leave the issue page.
I have seen suggestion of using field conditions to calculate the risk score but i need some more understand of how to go about this.
Hi @Kay Kalu , thanks for your post.
I wrote an article about this which you might find helpful - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Automation-articles/How-to-use-Automation-Lookup-Tables-for-calculated-values/ba-p/2907218
Please check it out as a possible approach and share your feedback.
Best wishes
Hi @Kay Kalu , there's also a simpler way to do this where the trigger for the automation is when the source fields are updated, so in my use case, likelihood and severity, to then use if / else statements to specify what the risk should be. Just another idea if the lookup table is too much.
Thanks for accepting the answer and have a great weekend!

Hello @Kay Kalu
It sounds like the Risk Score field isn’t storing values properly, possibly due to field configuration or missing automation.
If you need an automated way to calculate and retain Risk Scores in Jira, Risk Radar does this by evaluating Probability and Impact directly in the issue.
