I need to run a full report on a specific user. I want a one stop shop to get all his time tracking no matter what project/board they tracked time on and no matter the stage the project or tasks is at.

Hello @Jasmin Rosas

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Jira does not natively provide reports and filtering for getting time logged by an individual user. Are you willing to consider a third party product?

If so, a relatively inexpensive one I used previously that I like is:

Worklogs - Time Tracking and Time Reports, lite Time Tracker

( I don't work for the company that makes that app, and receive no perks from recommending it.)

There are a variety of time tracking and reporting apps available in the Atlassian Marketplace.

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=time%20reports

Note that for most (if not all) reporting features you will be able to get data only from issues you have permission to view. If the user logged time against individual issue you can't view due to Issue Security, or issues in projects you don't have permission to browse, then that data would not be included in your reports.

The alternative to an app is to develop your own report using the Jira REST API to extract worklog information for the user.

Hi @Jasmin Rosas

If you're open to using third-party applications, I recommend WorklogPRO. It offers a hierarchical grouping feature that enhances how you view and analyze work logs. By selecting a user in the filter, you can categorize corresponding user's work logs into various levels such as project, issue, or issue type. This makes it easier to analyze hours logged by user across different categories. You can also create different charts based on the timesheet levels you create or easily export this timesheet to pdf and excel formats. The other features of WorklogPRO:

-Customizable worklog dialog for greater flexibility
-Attributes feature to add extra information to worklogs
-Accounts feature for additional grouping options
-Teams feature to create teams and view all members' worklogs in one place
-Pivot reports to generate various charts with multiple groupings
-Calendar view to track worklogs over time
-Detailed worklog tab on issue view for a clear overview
-Work hours schema to define and track required work hours and progress
-Export options (Excel, PDF, CSV) for easy reporting and sharing

Hi @Jasmin Rosas ,

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

If you don't mind getting a third-party app for your Jira instance, then I can recommend our app, developed in-house by SolDevelo, called "Worklogs - Time Tracking and Time Reports".

Worklogs allows you to precisely filter the company’s logged work with a wide range of filters such as users, issues, issue types, labels and more. Per your requirements, you can also filter all users and all project within your time tracking report.

The filtered data can be then saved as reports that can be shared internally with colleagues and also exported to a .XLSX spreadsheet file for external use.

It's worth noting that the app uses Jira's native time tracking, meaning that any time tracked previously with this method before its installation will be immediately present in the app allowing you to display your desired report.

You can try out the app for free for 30 days through our marketplace page. You can also book a demo with one of our experts and we will showcase the app and answer any questions you might have.

Enjoy!

Hello @Jasmin Rosas

Welcome to the Community!

You may want to explore third-party Apps from the Marketplace.

I recommend using ClockWork Timesheets and Timetracking free or PRO to retrieve this report.

Clockwork Timesheets provides you with all Worklogs, Worklog authors, issue keys, and other details at a glance. You can also break down this report to display the Worklogs in groups for more insights.

as shown:

Clockwork also offers other informative features. I'll be happy to give you a DEMO of the app, so please reach out here if you would like to explore this.
