How to display affected objects from insight on User's profile.

Dear community,

I use the insight function in JSM. I would like to know how (if possible) when I go to a user's profile via the Directory or people tab, to display the entire list of hardware/software objects that are assigned to him/her?

Thanks for your help!

It is not possible to show Insight objects on a user's profile page. What you could do is store your users in Insight and set up associations there, you can then go to the user object and view the object graph.

Oh ok. It's a bit sad that this feature is not available but we have to deal with it. So I start creating a list of users in insight. Thank you for your answer !

Hi @Youri Soposki

it is possible to show the user's Insight items on their public profile.

All you have to do is to add a specisic attribute of the type "User" and select one user of you jira user database in the corresponding object.

It works well in Data Center.

Please see the explanation including an image right here: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-to-display-insight-object-at-User-profile/qaq-p/1930903

Unfortunately, this approach prevents you from making use of the object references and graph functionality, insight has built-in, at leaset if it comes to users. Looking a t the specific equipment of a user, then you only options are in fact the user's profile or a IQL search.

Please read this if you are interested in more details:  https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Service-Management/INSIGHT-user-object-and-relations/qaq-p/2158434#M117195

Kind Regards,
Markus

@Markus Pöhler This feature was never added to Cloud, it only works on DC unfortunately.
