How to edit your time with Jira Timetracker

TAG Admin February 29, 2024

I forgot to stop my time and need to go back to edit.

I watched a Youtube video and they said you could edit time in "work log", but I'm not seeing that option in my issue view... I even logged on to the admin view and still didn't see Work Log or an option to edit time-tracker.

Hi there,

Some time tracking apps (including ours) can be configured as a "Time Tracking Provider" in Jira. When an app is configured as provider, all default Jira UI elements related to time tracking will be hidden, including the "Work log" tab you are looking for on the Issue screen.

Usually these time tracking apps provide options or even dedicated pages to edit or delete your own or other users worklogs. You can also easily change the provider back to "Jira provided time tracking" to display the default elements, tabs again. However, this is usually not recommended by the app developers/vendors and can be confusing to your Jira users as well.
