How to handle outsourcing teams in portfolio?

Hi,

We are just starting to evaluate JIRA Portfolio for planning our roadmap and I am not really sure how outsourcing teams should be handled. For example lets say we have a project that has an estimate of 500 hours out of which 400 hours will be developed by an outsourced team which does not have access to JIRA.

Prior to portfolio we would only create the 100 hour task in JIRA but now that we want to have the roadmap in portfolio having the outsourcing time should be considered.

Has anyone else run into this scenario? What is the recommended approach?

Thanks for any insight!

Tudor

Hello,

You can create a new team, and assign "virtual users" that would be taken into account as "outsourced team members".
More information here

Thank you Maria, I completely overlooked the virtual users option!
