Hello,
I have slack and JIRA associated with two different email addresses. Recently, Jira has been trying to open the ticket with my assocated slack email, which I do not want it to do. I then click login with a different email and it errors our EVERY time. Anyone know how to fix this so I don't have to copy and paste the jira link into the browser for every slack jira ticket sent?
Thanks!
Hi Carolin,
It sounds like you're experiencing a common issue with email mismatches between Slack and Jira. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this problem:
Log Out and Log In Again: Sometimes, logging out of both Slack and Jira and then logging back in with the correct email addresses can help reset the connection. Make sure to log out from all devices and browsers.
Clear Browser Cache: Clearing your browser cache and cookies can sometimes resolve login issues. This can help ensure that there are no old session data causing conflicts.
Check Email Addresses: Ensure that the email addresses associated with your Slack and Jira accounts are correctly set up. You might need to update one of the email addresses to match the other if possible.
Use Incognito Mode: Try opening the Jira link in an incognito or private browsing window. This can help bypass any cached data or cookies that might be causing the issue.
Contact Support: If the issue persists, it might be best to contact Atlassian support for Jira or Slack support. They can provide more specific guidance and help troubleshoot the issue further.
