Hi Everyone,
I am working on a PoC for JIRA to be demoed to my client. I do have a trial version and had set up some rules and permissions but for some reason any issue that i create it doesn't show up on my backlog.
Also i have like tons of questions and need someone who can help me with doing a PoC.
Another question i have what all features of JIRA should be included in the demo for the client so that we get approval in getting the license for JIRA and implement in our different teams.
Hi, Have you checked the permission helper function? https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiracloud/using-the-permission-helper-868982879.html
That is very useful to understand why a user can't see a issue.
Regarding addons - this really depend on what you need of features in the system. Personally I have Scriptrunner, Automation for Jira, JiraWorkflowToolbox (JWT) and a mailhandler (JEMH/JETI if needed) as a basic must for me to perfom advanced taks that gives you a lot of great features. Adding Riada's Insight for asset management, crm, service catalog have been great to have for us.
Im not long ago from comming out of a PoC with Jira software and datacenter with integrations with our partners, and those addons helped with our success.
Feel free to reach out to the community and we are glad to help.
Just make a note that it is important to know what functons you require to have for us to guide you in the direction you want to go.
Best regards - - Knut Arne
@Sneha Sasikumar - Maybe it's better to ask a solution partner for support. This is a user community and you will find a lot of answers to your questions here and a lot of willing people to answer your questions, but I got a feeling that you need more of a training or support on the spot.
If this is the case, you can find local solution partners here:
https://www.atlassian.com/partners/search
But please, don't hesitate to ask your questions here also.

@Thomas Schlegel thank you so much for the response. Well honestly speaking i do know that the right way will be to reach out to a solution partner. But the thing is my delivery lead kind of wants me to work on the PoC first demo JIRA to our customers and then when they are ready to invest in JIRA, we would go full fledged to get the licenses for the 300 member account, get a jira admin full time etc.
So for the POC to the customer to convince them enough to buy JIRA what should my demo include? Can you please please help me out.

@Sneha Sasikumar, in my opinion you can stand up a cloud version of Jira in 2-3 days to sufficiently demo a POC. You should be able to achieve 90-95% w/o help by following this guideline - Getting Started w/ Jira.
In the end you may elect to go w/ Server for many reasons and it will look a bit different, but for a POC cloud is certainly easier as it removes the install process.

@Jack Brickey Thank you. I did that yesterday, set up a cloud version and planning to give demo next week. I hope they are convinced with the cloud version.
