Image paste works in Edit Issue but not Create Issue

On our JIRA Cloud installation, we can paste images from the clipboard into the Description field.

But when creating issues, Paste doesn't work. Is this a known limitation of the Create dialog, or have we misconfigured something?

According to the ticket @Andy J. mentions above this should be resolved, but I still can't paste during creation - what am I missing?

@Justin Grant we also have the exact same issue.  We create the issue, then edit the original comment to paste in the image/s.

I'll get this here as well in case someone else stumbles across this. This is a current product limitation that currently has a feature request open for it : https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRA-5015 to allow screenshots to be added in the Create Issue screen.

Hi Justin,

Perhaps you might have a misconfiguration in your settings preventing you from adding attachments in the Create issue view.

Try adding in your Create Issue screen the Attachments field and check if it works in the intended way.

The attachment field shows up fine in Create Issue and I can attach files using it. But I can't use CTRL+V to paste images from the clipboard into the Description field. Pasting images with CTRL+V works fine if I create the issue and then edit it.

Almost two years later, I have the same problem using 7.2.1.
