Is it possible to add custom fields to projects

I want to add custom fields to projects, so i can use if for analysis purposes. Is this possible?. As far as i can see, it is only possible in issues. thanks for support

This is a simple answer... yes, it is! , you have to use Profields from DEISER

Can you elaborate little bit ? Do you want to add a Custom field ? or you need to add something to your project like "Components" or "Versions" ? 

If it's custom field, yes you can add a custom field from the "Custom Fields" menu. But you have to be JIRA Administrator.

What i want is to add to the details of a project wether there is a fixed amount of hours allowed or wether the amount of hours spent is free. this in order to have management-information about the financial result of a project. I am administrator.
